After being made redundant for the first time in my career, I hope to return to my creative pursuit for some much-needed respite and joy.

9. Crossing the Rubicon
After two years, 4 rewrites, 1 pandemic and a new job, I complete the the first draft of the manuscript; my first book to cross the threshold of 50k words of noveldom.
8. Recharged
After two months off, I've restructured my book and cut 45k words.

In trying to ward off that unsettled feeling brought about by this extended lockdown, I make big changes to the way I publish my creative and technical content

5. Lockdown #5
As I grind through my fifth COVID lockdown, I question the direction of my current book.
4. Tinkering with code
I build a new website theme and interactive map widget, publish two more book chapters, and launch a Patreon page.
3. Fulfilling a contract
After committing to publishing a chapter a week, I release a couple of chapters of The Weaver's Boy. Cadoc's Contract is free for all Scriptorium members, and I've settled on Cove.chat as my site's comments system.
2. Back to writing
After a lot of development work, I think it's finally time I got back into writing some fantasy.
