“Shut your mouths!” Cadoc snapped.
The storm had passed, and the wind died down to a stiff breeze. Cadoc’s gruff voice carried over the sounds of the ship, eliciting attention from several sailors righting the minimal damage caused by the wind and rain.
Chatter died to low grumblings and then silence as Cadoc waved the procession towards the ship’s railing. Cadoc pointed at the gangplank, lashed down below the gangway. “Run it out then set him down.”
